Medicinally, Ribwort leaves can be used as an externally against nettle/insect stings or bites and also to staunch blood from wounds. The leaves can also be used to make a tea that acts as an effective cough medicine.
Ribwort attracts many small butterflies, moths and hoverflies and provides a good source of food for birds in the winter.
Can be eaten although very bitter.
