Organically grown, well rooted Lemongrass plants. Lemongrass is a species of grass well known for it’s culinary uses. With a strong flavour of lemon citrus it is often used in Asian cuisine. Eventually reaching 5 feet, this arching grass has a fat stalk at the base of each group of leaves which is used for cooking. The leaves can be made into a tea. Medicinally it can help settle stomach upsets, is anti-fungal, anti-catarrhal, anti-bacterial and is thought to have a sedative effect, if consumed in large quantities. In the Uk climate it is best grown in a container so you can bring it indoors to overwinter as it cannot withstand a frost. After the last frost, you can place outside in a sunny sheltered position. Keep it well watered and fed.
