£2.85£3.95

A striking perennial reaching 1.2m/4ft tall with purple cone-shaped flowers from July-August. Prefers a light soil and a sunny position.  Succeeds in dry conditions and tolerates drought when established.

Slugs really love this plant so it may need some protection until established.

Echinacea is a well-known medicinal herb with many applications – perhaps most widely used as a powerful stimulant of the immune system.  A decoction for fevers and flu can be made out of the dried root of this plant.

Great bee and butterfly plant!
